The new Queen Street multi-use path

From the end of mid-November 2022, a new multi-use path will be available alongside the existing footpath on Queen Street.

The existing footpath will be much wider and will be a great, safe space for enjoying Queen Street at a leisurely pace.

The multi-use path is meant for people who walk fast and people cycling or riding e-scooters. It will allow you to move freely and away from people walking at a slower pace.

If you're using the new multi-use path:

  • Watch out for people waiting to board or getting off buses
  • Slow down at crossings and bus stops
  • Give priority to pedestrians.

If you are cycling on Queen St

If you're riding quickly, it's best to ride on the road, taking the lane where easiest. This will help keep you and others safe.
