Give Way means Give Way

Too many people are dying or being seriously injured at intersections.

In Auckland between 2010 and 2014, intersection crashes resulted in the deaths of 55 people with 737 people being seriously injured. Most of the drivers at fault failed to stop or give way.

Auckland Transport is committed to improving safety at intersections and helping to reduce the number of crashes. You could receive a $150 fine and 20 demerit points if you:

  • Fail to stop at a stop sign.
  • Fail to give way at roundabouts or at give way intersections.

Simply follow the rules and reduce your chances of having a crash.
