Bangor St, Pt Chevalier - No stopping at all times restrictions

Consultation status: closed 10 April 2017

We are seeking feedback on a proposal to install No stopping at all times restrictions (broken yellow lines) across the driveway of 19 Bangor Street in Pt Chevalier.

Why the changes are needed

Vehicles often park over this driveway - particularly on the weekend - which causes access issues for the property. The proposal will better define the street's parking and clarify where Coyle Park visitors are permitted to park.

Feedback

Thank you everyone for your feedback.

The proposal received positive feedback with some concerns raised by respondents. After reviewing this feedback and all other supporting evidence, the proposal will proceed without changes to the next stage of detailed planning.

Specific feedback and proposed solution

  • Request to repaint ‘No Parking’ at end of road, outside park entrance. We will make sure to restore these markings as they were included under past works and presumably not reinstated after road resurfacing. As far as we’re are aware, these previous works did not include the removal of parking outside no.19, hence the need for this proposal.
  • Suggestion that the proposed changes will need enforcement. For cars parked illegally we encourage you to contact us (09) 355 3553 with the vehicle details to request a parking officer visit the site.

Next stage

We expect to introduce this work by August 2017, subject to any further changes in design or funding issues. Contractors will issue 48-hour notice to all residents in the area prior to starting construction work.
