Morrin Rd, Glen Innes - No stopping at all times restrictions Morrin Rd, Glen Innes - No stopping at all times restrictions

Consultation status: closed 10 March 2017

We are looking to install new No stopping at all times restrictions (broken yellow lines) on both sides of the driveway of 29 Morrin Road.

Why the changes are required

At the moment, vehicles are forced to drive across the centre line when they are exiting 29 Morrin Road due to vehicles being parked too close to the entrance.

Feedback results

The proposal received mixed feedback with some concerns raised by respondents. After reviewing this feedback and all other supporting evidence, the proposal will proceed without changes to the next stage of detailed planning.

Specific feedback

The broken yellow lines should be extended further down Morrin Road.

Because on-street parking is in high demand we only remove parking when absolutely necessary.

Extending the proposed broken yellow lines would increase the chance of vehicle speeds rising along this portion of road and would not improve accessibility any further. Due to this, the parking restrictions will not be extended further.

Next Steps

We expect to begin this work by June 2017, subject to any further changes in design or funding issues.

Contractors will issue 48-hour notice to all affected residents prior to construction work.
