Consultation status: closed 28 June 2017
We are proposing to install No stopping at all times restrictions (broken yellow lines) outside 64 Stoddard Road.
Why the changes are needed
When cars are trying to manoeuvre out of the driveway, they are experiencing visibility issues of oncoming traffic from the west.
Thank you everyone for your feedback.
The proposal received mixed feedback with some concerns raised by respondents. After reviewing this feedback and all other supporting evidence, the proposal will proceed without changes to the next stage of detailed planning.
Specific feedback and proposed solution
- The broken yellow lines should be extended further and be installed on both sides of the road. There are no further broken yellow lines required, the vehicles exiting No.123 have adequate visibility due to the driveway being slightly raised off the road. AT only removes parking when it is absolutely required.
- The parking restrictions should only be in place between 7-9am and 4-6pm. The purpose of the proposal is to improve visibility on a highly used driveway on Stoddard Road, this is an issue experienced at all times of the day. Therefore, the restrictions are required at all times.
- Request for additional works including speed humps and signalised crossings on Stoddard Road. If you would like your request to be considered for future development works, provide feedback here.
We expect to introduce this work starting in July 2017 and throughout 2017/2018, subject to any further changes in design or funding issues. Contractors will notify all residents in the area prior to starting construction work.
