Consultation status: closed 25 October 2016
We are seeking feedback on a proposal to add No Stopping at All Times restrictions (broken yellow lines) outside 14 Tomuri Place in Mt Wellington.
This proposed change comes from concerns raised by the public about restricted vehicle access caused by cars parked opposite the driveway at 14 Tomuri Place.
Our site visits confirm that there is restricted vehicle accessibility and we are proposing broken yellow lines to improve accessibility

Thank you everyone for your feedback.
The proposal received positive feedback with some concerns raised by respondents. After reviewing this feedback and all other supporting evidence, the proposal will proceed without changes to the next stage of detailed planning.
Specific feedback and proposed solution
- Enquiry if this would cause more congestion further into the cul-de-sac. We have investigated the current situation at Tomuri Place and can confirm that it will not cause any congestion.
- Request that there be broken yellow lines along the whole stretch of Tomuri Place. There are already broken yellow lines on one side of Tomuri place which enables adequate traffic flow. Due to this we cannot put in any extra broken yellow lines as this would leave no on-street parking.
We expect to introduce this work by June 2017, subject to any further changes in design or funding issues. Contractors will issue a 48-hour notice to all residents in the area prior to starting construction work.
