Consultation status: closed 15 September 2017
In September 2016 we consulted on a proposal to install ‘No stopping at all times restrictions’ (broken yellow lines) on Jade Court in Rosedale. In light of further feedback from the public we would like to revisit this proposal and are asking for your feedback.
In particular, we propose the following improvements:
- Installing broken yellow lines at the corner of Jade Court at its intersection with Bluestone Rose.
- Installing broken yellow lines along the northern side of Jade Court.
- Installing broken yellow lines at the cul-de-sac end of Jade Court.
Why the changes are needed
Jade Court is 5.4 meters wide which is considered too narrow for drivers to pass safely when vehicles are parked on both sides of the road.
The proposal received mixed feedback with some concerns raised by respondents. After reviewing this feedback and all other supporting evidence, the proposal not will proceed to the next stage of detailed planning.
The consultation among residents of Jade Court indicated a strong opposition to the proposal of implementation of broken yellow lines due to high demand for on-street parking.
We have decided not to proceed with this proposal.
