Consultation status: closed 18 November
We are seeking feedback on a proposal to add No Stopping at All Times restrictions (broken yellow lines) along Julia Place in Totara Vale.
This proposed change comes from public concern about restricted vehicle access caused by cars parked on Julia Place.
Our site visits confirm that vehicle movement is restricted when vehicles are parked on this street. The proposed broken yellow lines will address this issue.

Thank you everyone for your feedback.
The proposal received positive feedback with some concerns raised by respondents. After reviewing this feedback and all other supporting evidence, the proposal will proceed without changes to the next stage of detailed planning.
Specific feedback and proposed solution
We have received a few responses questioning if it would be better to install the parking restrictions on the northern side of the road to retain more parking spaces.
Installing broken yellow lines on the northern side of the road would require a layout which would allow a very similar number of on-street parking spaces as the proposed arrangement. Our investigation also indicates that residents mainly park on the northern side of the road and so we proposed the lines on the southern side of the road.
We expect to introduce this work by June 2017, subject to any further changes in design or funding issues. Contractors will issue a 48-hour notice to all residents in the area prior to starting construction work.
