Napoleon Ave and Waterloo Rd - Parking changes

Consultation status: closed 19 November 2016

We have received requests from local residents to improve parking availability in Waterloo Road and Napoleon Avenue during the week, as well as improve turning in Napoleon Avenue.

We proposed to:

  • Add a P120 (two hour limit) time restriction on one side of each street between 8am and 6pm from Monday to Friday.
  • Install new No Stopping at All Times restrictions (broken yellow lines) near existing bus stops on Waterloo Road - this will allow easier access for buses driving in and out of bus stops.

Feedback

All responses received have been reviewed. After reviewing the feedback provided we decided to reduce the No stopping at all times restrictions (broken yellow lines) proposed outside 12 Napoleon Avenue for turning to retain an additional carpark. We are also reviewing blocked vehicle entrance infringements on the street and will renew all limit lines as part of the works.

As majority of responses supported the proposal we will proceed with formalities associated with implementing the proposal, and we hope to have the changes implemented by April 2017.

Thank you for your feedback and input.

Proposal update

We recently consulted on the proposal to install P120 zones and broken yellow lines on both Napoleon Avenue and Waterloo Road, which we confirmed we would be proceeding forward with.

We are now advising these works will take place October 2017. There have been delays which means the construction could not start as previously stated.
