Point View Drive, East Tamaki Heights - Road markings and signage upgrades

Consultation status: closed 10 March 2017

We are proposing the following changes:

  • Carry out road marking upgrades along Point View Drive.
  • Install new signage along Point View Drive.

Why the changes are needed

As part of the Willowbank Safer Community, the Road Safety team is looking at crash reduction studies along the length of Point View Dr, East Tamaki Heights. The NZTA Crash Analysis System shows that there has been a number of loss of control type crashes along the route. Our observations also noted that there is currently a lack of consistency along the route in regards to signage and road markings and some signage has not been installed as per current standard.

As part of a crash reduction study it has been observed that there is a lack of consistency in regards to signage and road markings along Point View Drive and this proposal aims to address these issues.
