Why the changes are needed
It is part of a region-wide pedestrian safety programme and aims to improve walking connections to Clevedon Road, Sheehan Avenue and the walkway at Wilson Place.
Feedback
The proposal received positive feedback with no concerns raised by respondents. After reviewing this feedback and all other supporting evidence, the proposal will proceed without changes to the next stage of detailed planning.
Specific feedback
- Query regarding road markings and signage at the Cross Street and Rollerson Street intersection. There are no new give way signs or intersection controls included as part of the proposed new footpath.
- Requests for additional works such as speed calming measures on Rollerson Street and surrounding roads. This request is out of scope for this proposal which focuses on new footpaths on Rollerson Street. If you would like speed calming measures on Rollerson Street and Cross Street to be considered by AT as a separate works package, please fill in a feedback form or report a problem to be fixed.
Next steps
We expect to introduce this work before July 2018, subject to further changes in design or funding issues.
Contractors will issue notices to all affected residents prior to construction work.
