The Rail and Maritime Trade Union (RMTU) has given notice of its intent to commence industrial action from Monday 26 February to Friday 16 March.

Auckland Transport and Transdev have developed a temporary timetable to minimise disruption and provide consistent rail services on these lines during this period.

Customers can expect Southern, Western and Eastern line weekday peak train services at 20-minute intervals, with inter-peak and off-peak services running as normal. Many trains on these services will run with six cars, which can hold 900 passengers, to help reduce impact.

Onehunga and Pukekohe weekday train services and weekend train services across all lines will remain on their usual timetable.

Ferry and bus services will operate as normal.

Victoria Street, Otahuhu - No stopping at all times restrictions Victoria Street, Otahuhu - No stopping at all times restrictions

Consultation status: closed 19 April 2017

We are proposing to install No stopping at all times restrictions (broken yellow lines) on Victoria Street in Otahuhu.

Why the changes are needed

With vehicles parked on both sides of Victoria Street and having a crest on the approach to the intersection with Park Avenue, visibility is reduced and it becomes difficult for vehicles to manoeuvre through to the intersection. The No stopping at all times restrictions would help fix this issue.

Feedback results

The proposal received positive feedback with no concerns raised. After reviewing this feedback and other supporting evidence, the proposal will proceed without changes to the next stage of detailed planning.

We expect to begin this work by June 2017, subject to further design changes or funding issues. Contractors will notify all affected residents prior to construction.
