Media Release: Late trains for Katy Perry fans

Wednesday 4 May

Katy Perry fans are encouraged to take the train this weekend to the concert.

Auckland Transport is providing special late night train services after the concert to take people home.

Auckland Transport Public Operations Manager Mark Lambert says public transport is the easiest way to get to the concert.

“Travelling by train to events is growing in popularity as more people look for a hassle free journey.

“Concert-goers do not have to worry about parking and Britomart is only a short walk away from Vector arena.

A late night service will run on the Onehunga line.  Since it opened it has become a popular station for concert-goers.

Regular train fares will apply.

As well as the train, regular timetabled schedules for the bus and ferry services will be in operation.
