Auckland Transport (AT) is reminding people to plan ahead this weekend as vehicle access into and out of Ti Rakau Drive from the Pakuranga Road end will be closed over Labour Weekend.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, with traffic management in place.
Between 9pm on Friday 23 October and 5am on Tuesday 27 October, Auckland Transport will be doing pavement works on Ti Rakau Drive near the Pakuranga Road intersection. This will require us to close access to and from Ti Rakau Drive at the Pakuranga Road end.
Access to Pakuranga Plaza via all entrances will remain open during the works.
We will be working day and night over the weekend to take advantage of the reduced traffic volume and to minimise the length of time of the closure.
These works form part of stage 1 of AMETI Eastern Busway, a transformational project that will create a dedicated, congestion-free busway and walking/cycling connections between Panmure, Pakuranga, and Botany town centres. Stage 1, between Panmure and Pakuranga, is scheduled for completion in 2021.
