10,000th AT Local trip competition Terms and Conditions 10,000th AT Local trip T&Cs

  1. AT Local is a trial on-demand rideshare service provided by Auckland Transport (“AT”) which allows customers to book a trip (either through the AT Local app or by calling the AT Local call centre) which may be shared with other customers between specific points within a particular area.   2. AT is offering the Promotion whereby the person who books a trip on the AT Local service that is subsequently the 10,000th AT Local trip completed will have $100 credited to their nominated registered AT HOP card.
  3. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, a trip on the AT Local service is completed once the person travelling has: (a) boarded the AT Local service at the agreed pick-up point and at the agreed time; and (b) alighted the AT Local service at the agreed drop-off point.
  4. If the booking is for a group, each person in the group counts as one trip.
  5. The purpose of the Promotion is to encourage people to use AT Local.
  6. By using AT Local, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions in relation to the Promotion. If you would like to opt out of this Promotion, please phone the call centre on 0800 2 LOCAL (0800 2 56225). 
  7. The promoter is Auckland Transport, 20 Viaduct Harbour Avenue, Auckland, Private Bag 92250, Auckland 1142.
  8. The Promotion will open at 12.00pm on 9 May 2022 and will close when the 10,000th trip with AT Local has been completed or the AT Local trial ceases (“Promotional Period”). 
  9. Entry is open to any person with a MyAT account (except for employees and family members of AT). To be eligible for the Promotion, you must book an AT Local trip that is completed within the Promotional Period. AT reserves the right to verify your eligibility to participate in the Promotion at any time. 
  10. There is one prize to be won: the person to book a trip on AT Local that is the 10,000th AT Local trip completed (the “Winner”) will have $100 credited to the registered AT HOP card nominated by the Winner. Other than as provided for under the AT HOP card terms of use (available here), the prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.  If the advertised prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable for any reason, AT, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize of equal or greater value and/or specification. 
  11. AT will contact the Winner via telephone or email to notify them that they are the winner and confirm whether they would like to accept the $100 credit onto a registered AT HOP card nominated by them. Once the Winner has confirmed that they would like to accept the prize and has advised AT of a nominated registered AT HOP card, AT will credit the Winner’s nominated registered AT HOP card with $100. If the Winner does not wish to accept the prize, or if the Winner does not advise AT of a nominated registered AT HOP card, or if AT is unable to contact the Winner within 14 days of AT first attempting to contact the Winner, the Winner will be deemed to have forfeited their prize and instead the person who booked a trip with AT Local that is the 10,001st AT Local trip subsequently completed will be the Winner.  
  12. Where the Promotion is advertised on a social media platform (e.g. Instagram or Facebook), the Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with the social media platform. All participants in the Promotion completely release the relevant social media platform provider from any liability in relation to the Promotion.
  13. To the extent permitted by law, AT and its associated agencies are not liable in any way (including, without limitation, in negligence) for any loss, damage or injury (including indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with participation in this Promotion or the use of the prize awarded.
  14. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
  15. AT, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel or modify the Promotion or any part of it if fraud, technical failure or any other factor beyond AT's reasonable control adversely affects AT's ability to conduct the Promotion or part of it as contemplated in these terms and conditions. Any cancellation or modification to the Promotion will be notified on AT's website at at.govt.nz/local.
  16. AT takes no responsibility for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures, failures of computer equipment or software, inability to access telecommunications network services, or any other error or malfunction which prevents AT Local users from participating in the Promotion, or AT contacting a winner, or failure of a winner to confirm acceptance of the prize.
  17. AT’s decisions on all matters relating to the Promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  18. AT will receive and hold personal information provided to AT by participants in relation to the Promotion in accordance with AT’s Customer Privacy Policy. All personal information provided by participants in relation to the Promotion will be held by AT and will be used to conduct the Promotion in accordance with these terms and conditions. Under the Privacy Act 2020 participants have the right to access and correct their personal information.
