Plan your bus journey

There are frequent bus services from around Auckland to the City Centre.

Bus detours and stop closures

There will be bus detours and stop closures on the day of the event. Look out for our friendly Auckland Transport team in pink hi-vis, they’ll be on hand to guide you and help with any changes to your public transport journey.

Children aged 5–15 travel free on weekends with a registered AT HOP card, and children under 5 travel free when with a paying passenger.

The nearest train station to the event is Waitematā Station.

Western Line Trains

Trains will run every 20 minutes between Henderson and Waitematā and every 60 minutes between Swanson and Waitematā, operating only on Platform 1 between Henderson and Swanson. After 8pm, trains will run every 30 minutes between Swanson and Waitematā.

The Downtown Ferry Terminal is located near Waitematā Station, which is a 15-minute walk from the start of the parade.
