DHL New Zealand Lions Series 2017

Travel by public transport to Eden Park to watch the British & Irish Lions take on the Blues and All Blacks during their tour of New Zealand in June & July 2017.

Date: Wednesday 7 June - Blues v The British & Irish Lions

Time: Gates open 4.30pm, Kick-off 7.35pm

Bus

Special event buses will operate to Eden Park from Northern Busway stations, Manukau, Pakuranga, Botany, Midtown, Newmarket and Mt Eden, and return.

Special event buses will also operate to Eden Park from Takapuna and return on Saturday 24 June and Saturday 8 July only.

Travel on the train is included with your pre-purchased game ticket and starts 4 hours before kick-off and finishes when services end that evening.

Note: You must show your game ticket for all travel on trains. If you do not present your pre-purchased ticket, standard fares will apply.

FerryDowntown Ferry Terminal map

The Downtown Ferry Terminal is next to the Britomart Transport Centre in Downtown Auckland. Ferry passengers can easily change to a train for transport to the game.

Additional Pine Harbour ferry sailings will operate to and from the Downtown Ferry Terminal. 

Spaces are limited and bookings are essential.

  • Travel is included with your pre-purchased game ticket only on special event bus services and all trains services to and from Eden Park on Wednesday 7 June, Saturday 24 June and Saturday 8 July 2017
  • Bus travel included with your game ticket is ONLY available on special event bus services
  • Travel on trains starts from 4 hours prior to kick-off and until the last train on Wednesday 7 June, Saturday 24 June and Saturday 8 July 2017
  • Travel on special event bus services starts from approximately 3 hours prior to kick off 
  • To board specified bus and train services you must show your pre-purchased game ticket for the relevant rugby game on Wednesday 7 June, Saturday 24 June and Saturday 8 July 2017. Ticket receipts are not acceptable
  • Tickets must be retained to show for return travel after the game, otherwise normal fares will apply
  • While all effort has been made to cater for expected demand on trains and special event buses, space on these services is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Passengers will be boarded on a first come first served basis.
  • Auckland Transport accepts no liability whatsoever in relation to the provision of these services, including, but not limited to, any liability in relation to any delay of, or failure to provide, any services.
