Foo Fighters

Travel on trains and special event buses to see Foo Fighters live in concert at Mt Smart Stadium is included with your concert ticket.

Date: Saturday 3 February.
Time: Gates open - 4.00pm, Concert starts - 5.30pm.
Place: Mt Smart Stadium.

Traffic and public transport will be busier than normal, please plan your journey in advance and allow extra time. Your concert ticket includes your trip to and from the event on trains and special event buses. If you are not attending the concert please avoid the area.

Included with your concert ticket is travel on special event buses direct to Mt Smart Stadium from the Northern Busway stations and Auckland City Centre (on Quay Street) and return.

All other bus services will be operating to their scheduled timetables and standard fares will apply.


Train

You can travel on trains up to 3 hours before the main act with your concert ticket. Travel prior to this will be at the standard fare.

Please note: You must show your concert ticket for all travel on trains. If you do not present your event ticket, standard fares will apply.

Additional trains will operate before and after the concert. The Penrose train station (which is on the Southern/Onehunga Line) is the closest station to travel to for this event and is in walking distance (approximately 10-15 minutes) to Mt Smart Stadium.

Travelling on the Western or Eastern Lines, you will need to change trains at either Britomart, Newmarket or Otahuhu for the Southern/Onehunga Line trains to Penrose. Check the timetable below carefully for your connections.

Ferry

The Downtown Ferry Terminal is located on Quay St in Downtown Auckland. This means ferry passengers can easily cross the road and catch the special event buses or trains for transport to the concert.

Normal fares/passes apply for ferry services.

Terms and conditions

  • Travel on trains and special event bus services to and from Mt Smart Stadium for the Foo Fighters concert on Saturday 3 February 2018 is included with your concert ticket.
  • Bus travel included with your concert ticket is only available on special event bus services and starts approximately 3 hours prior to the main act.
  • Train travel included with your concert ticket starts from 3 hours prior to the start of the main act to the last train on Saturday 3 February 2018.
  • Normal fares will apply to all train services if a concert ticket is not presented.
  • A pre-purchased concert ticket must be shown upon request and applicable on Saturday 3 February 2018 for travel and entry to the Foo Fighters concert. Ticket receipts are not accepted.
  • Tickets must be retained to show for return travel after the concert, otherwise normal fares will apply.
  • While all effort has been made to cater for expected demand on trains and special event buses, space on these services is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Passengers will be boarded on a first come first served basis.
  • Auckland Transport accepts no liability whatsoever in relation to the provision of these services, including, but not limited to, any liability in relation to any delay of, or failure to provide, any services.
  • Travel on ferries and bus routes other than the special event buses stated is not included with your concert ticket.
