Buses replace some trains
There are times when trains will not operate on the Auckland rail network due to maintenance, services will be replaced by a rail bus.
Line closures on Saturday 27, Sunday 28 and Monday 29 January 2018
Southern and Onehunga lines
- Buses will replace trains from Britomart to Newmarket and from Manukau to Pukekohe.
- On the Onehunga line Buses will replace trains from Britomart to Newmarket and from Onehunga to Penrose.
Western line
- Buses will replace trains between Papakura and Pukekohe.

Eastern line
- Trains will operate as per normal.
Reason for line closure: Newmarket to Britomart is closed for maintenance to Sarawia Street crossing. Onehunga to Penrose is closed for works concerning Penrose Station, Platform 3. Wiri to Pukekohe is closed for upgrades and Takanini Motorway widening. Western line is closed for Cycleway and level crossing works.
Rail Buses
Buses will be marked RAIL BUS. All valid tickets and passes currently accepted on trains will be accepted on rail bus replacements.
