The 191 bus service replaces the 107 bus service from Sunday 24 February.
From Sunday 24 February 2019, the new 191 bus service replaces the current bus service 107 (New Lynn – Rosebank Peninsula – Avondale – Blockhouse Bay – New Lynn one-way loop).
The 191 will run between Lynfield and New Lynn in both directions. The service will provide a direct link between Lynfield and Blockhouse Bay and also introduces service to the new Murray Halberg Retirement Village in Lynfield. It replaces one-way service with two-way service on Whitney Street and replaces one-way service with two-way service between New Lynn, Rosebank Peninsula and Avondale as well as providing better connections to Western Line trains.
Trips will depart New Lynn hourly from 6:20am to 7:20pm, seven days a week and depart Lynfield hourly from 6:20am to 7:20pm, seven days a week.
The service no longer travels on Wairau Avenue, customers currently using the 107 to/from Wairau Avenue will need to use new bus stops on Riversdale Road or Ash Street. Customers travelling to/from Taylor Street and Wolverton Street will need to use a 24B, 24R, or 68.
