From Monday, 19 December 2022, the Park & Ride car park at Ōrākei Station will be temporarily closed to private vehicles while important rail network upgrade work is carried out. Rail replacement buses will be operating to and from the Park & Ride, but no public parking will be available. Click here for alternative park and ride facilities. 

The Park & Ride is needed by KiwiRail to store materials for our Christmas/New Year network-wide maintenance closure (26 December 2022 – 14 January 2023) and then to store materials for Stage 2 of the Rail Network Rebuild on the Eastern Line (from 20 March 2023).
This work is crucial to enabling the City Rail Link and more frequent, reliable and convenient commuter trains across Auckland.
