Temporary Closure of Lower Albert Street Temporary Closure of Lower Albert Street

Lower Albert Street will be closed from Saturday 7 December 2019 to Sunday 9 February 2020 as part of the Downtown project. During this time the carriageway will be rebuilt. Work will start on building wider footpaths and continue on the upgrade to Quay Street.

Due to the closure there will be some temporary bus stop closures and diversions.

  • NX1 will depart Customs Street East – Stop 7016

Detour required for NX1 service. 

To city centre From city centre
Fanshawe Street as normal Buses will start journey from Customs Street East near Queens Arcade (7016)
Via Customs Street West Straight Customs Street West
Buses will end trip outside H&M store on Customs Street Via Fanshawe Street
Then as normal

Detour required for 95B, 95C, 95G, 97B, 97R, and 97V services.

To city centre From city centre
Fanshawe Street as normal Buses will start trip from bus stop between Swanson Street and Wyndham Street
To Hobson Street Right Victoria Street West
Buses will end journey at bus stop between Swanson Street and Wyndham Street Right Halsey Street
Left Fanshawe Street
Then as normal
