Ice blocks and pit stops

What's better than a bike pit stop? A bike pit stop with ice blocks.

The AT team will be out on Auckland's key cycleway connections giving away ice blocks and spreading the word about what's happening in February while qualified mechanics give your bike a quick tune-up.

Bike pit stops

Does your bike need a quick check-up? Pull over at one of our morning pit stops for a check and tune by a qualified mechanic.

Either stop in quickly on your way or stay for a chat with other cyclists and the AT Active Modes team.

Looking to find your perfect bike match? Search no further.

This Valentine's day fall in love with the bike that's right for you. Come along to this lunchtime event on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 February and talk to bike experts, see real-world stories of different bikes and take a spin on your future set of wheels.

Weekly events during February

Move Monday

In coordination with Auckland Council's Live Lightly programme these themed prize giveaways are designed to get spreading the word about your bike.

Some great prizes are up for grabs, such as panier bags and bike grocery bags from Basil or some golden bike bells care of Bike Barn. Terms and conditions apply.

Bike Train Tuesday

Are you comfortable on a bike but haven't yet made the step to commuting? Then this is the event for you.

Each Tuesday in February, AT will be providing a guided e.bike train, electrified by Mercury, on selected cycle routes around the city.

Starting at 7:15am, you'll meet your friendly and experienced instructors, and receive your Mercury e.bike for the day before riding on quiet routes and cycleways to arrive at the Viaduct by 8:30am.

Experience a fun and safe way riding wonderful in your daily commute. Spaces are limited. Register for Bike Train Tuesday.

Wobble-free Wednesday

Keen to get going by bike, but not sure about your skills? We've got you covered with our adult bike skills.

Swing by a Wobble-free Wednesday after-work training to get comfortable on two wheels. Courses suit all ages and skill levels and are relaxed practical sessions with a qualified instructor.

Stay for half an hour or the whole time, there is no need to book and there will be bikes available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bikes 'n Blocks Thursday

Beat the summer sun with a cheery ice block from the AT Active Modes team.

Swing by on your way home between 4:30pm and 6:30pm to grab and ice block and socialise with other riders and the AT team.

Friday Fun Ride

Big Street Bikers is providing an end-of-the-week fun e-bike tour around the city, featuring some key lookout spots around Auckland.

Bike tours start at Big Street Biker's HQ in the Viaduct and roll around the city before ending back at the Viaduct for socialising.

Registrations are essential, and the tours leave at 4pm and 5pm each Friday in February. Register for a Friday Fun Ride.
