Watch out for electric trains. Electric trains are now running across Auckland. They're fast, frequent and very quiet, so you will need to keep an extra look out for them.

Always cross at a proper crossing. If you're wearing headphones, take them off so you can hear if the train is approaching.

Never cross if the bells are ringing. Trains can come from either direction so always look both ways to make sure no other trains are coming.

Stay behind the yellow lines at platforms. Keep clear of the wires and never muck around near trains because you won't know what hit you.
