A new ferry wharf at Beach Haven on the North Shore is the second destination wharf in the Hobsonville - Beach Haven - Auckland ferry service.

Scheduled services started on 4 February 2013.

Construction completed on Beach Haven wharf

The ferry service connects Hobsonville Point with Beach Haven in Kaipatiki and the Auckland downtown ferry terminal using the vessel Discovery II, an 80 seat catamaran ferry.

The new wharf was constructed at a cost of $1.2 million.

Auckland Transport’s Project Director Improvements, Nick Seymour says: "The development of a Beach Haven ferry berth has been promised for a number of years and we are very pleased to have worked with the Kaipatiki Local Board in bringing this new facility to the people of Beach Haven."

"The development of this facility further expands the reach of water-based public transport and signals another significant step in the development of a multi-modal integrated public transport network."
