Murphys Road upgrade project updates Murphys Road upgrade project updates
2019
8 November
Road closure information
In December 2019, we will begin an important stage of the upgrade project that will see the existing culverts that run under Murphys Road replaced with a three barrel culvert.
When developing a plan to complete this significant piece of work as quickly as possible, our engineers looked at a range of options and considered social, economic and traffic management factors. As a result, the team put together a plan that will enable the culverts to be constructed safely and efficiently, while maintaining continued access to homes and schools in the work area. However, despite the best efforts of the planning team Murphys Road will be closed to all through traffic from 1 December 2019 to 9 April 2020.

- Murphys Road will be closed to through traffic between 1 December and 9 April 2020

During this time, single northbound and southbound lanes will be maintained.

Work Site Safety
We ask that you keep out from entering any fenced off area as this is a live worksite; remind all younger members of your household.
Horsefield Road Access
The new traffic layout will allow Horsefield’s Road to re-open for traffic access, however there will be no access to Kerrykeel Drive and Geranium Ave from Murphys Roadon Hogan.
