Newmarket physical work and consultation work underway

Some improvement work is being done around Newmarket as part of other projects and consultations. Below is some of the work already underway, or being consulted on.

Morrow Street intersection

As part of resource consent to develop the 277-307 site into the Westfield Newmarket, the intersection of Broadway and Morrow Street may (subject to ongoing stakeholder engagement) have traffic lights installed. If this proposal goes ahead, these light will manage traffic and provide a safe location for pedestrians to cross to the Morrow Street entrance of the Westfield shopping centre.

Remuera residential parking zone

Feedback on a residential parking zone on the northern side at the Newmarket end of Remuera Road is open until 24 November 2019.

Feedback on a residential parking zone to the west of Mountain Road centred around Seccombes Road, Almorah Place and Maungawhau Road is open until 24 November 2019.
