Rural Road Tree Removal Approval
This process is for rural residents who want to trim or remove Auckland Council trees outside their property.
Tree owner approval form
This is the application form for the Rural Road Tree Removal Approval (RR-TRA) process. This form will be assessed by Auckland Transport (AT).
Fill in and send the completed form to ruraltrees@aucklandtransport.govt.nz.
There is no application fee. The cost of trimming or removing the tree will be covered by the applicant.
If you do not provide the necessary information, your application may be rejected.
What happens next
We will process your application within 14 working days.
If you live in urban areas, you can apply to work on or around a council tree on the Auckland Council website.
