Devonport day trip tickets

Return-journey tickets to Devonport can be purchased at the AT Customer Service Centre or AT self-service ticket machines located at the Downtown Ferry Terminal. Return tickets are valid for travel on the same day. Please buy your ticket before you board and keep your ticket for the return journey.

Waiheke ferry monthly pass

The new Waiheke ferry monthly pass costs $355 and is available for purchase by all ferry commuters, saving residents $48 when compared to the Fullers360 monthly pass.

Note:

  • AT HOP and SuperGold is currently not available for use on Island Direct’s Waiheke ferry service.
  • Tickets must be purchased directly through the Island Direct website, or in-person when there is unsold inventory.
  • Capacity is limited, so customers are encouraged to plan their journey in advance and book online.

Ferry operator travel conditions

Travel conditions for ferry services, with additional operator specific conditions listed below.

Senior citizens are entitled to free travel with a valid SuperGold card or Auckland Transport approved senior citizen ID card, provided the SuperGold concession fare has been loaded on to the AT HOP card.

Child aged 0 to 12 years old inclusive can travel for free. See fare concessions for udner 25s.

      • Children may be asked by a Transport Officer or another Auckland Transport Representative to prove they are eligible to receive the concession if they don’t look the appropriate age for that concession. 
      • Valid forms of age identification need to include a date of birth, for example, 
        • Secondary or Tertiary Student ID card 
        • Driver’s licence 
        • Passport 
        • Kiwi Access Card (previously the 18+ card). 
        • In future, AT may consider additional measures for customers' age verification before applying a Child or Youth concession. 

Secondary students attending high school / college within the Auckland region must hold and present their AT student ID card to the operator to ensure they receive a child fare on public transport.

      • Secondary students that cannot provide proof of school attendance may be required to pay an adult cash fare for their travel.

Full-time tertiary students are eligible for tertiary fares if they are enrolled and attending an accredited, approved full time tertiary course at a registered institute or private training establishment within the Auckland region.

Fullers360 ferry travel conditions

      • Senior citizen ID card and SuperGold concession for free travel does NOT apply on ferries serving Rangitoto.
      • Senior citizen ID card and SuperGold concession for free travel does NOT apply on ferries serving Tiritiri Matangi.
      • Family is for 2 adults and 2 children.
      • Travel on Fullers services is subject to the Fullers360 terms and conditions.

Pine Harbour ferry travel conditions

      • Tertiary fares are only available on the AT HOP card.
      • Baggage other than 'cabin baggage' may incur a charge.

Belaire Ferries travel conditions

      • Tertiary fares are only available on the AT HOP card.
      • Tickets and passes for the West Harbour ferry are only available on board the ferry.
      • Tickets and passes for the Rakino ferry are only available on board.

Travel on Belaire Ferries services is subject to their terms and conditions, which can be found on the Belaire Ferries website.


Choosing the right ticket for your travel

Casual ferry users

If you are an occasional ferry passenger, then paying with AT HOP money on the AT HOP card may be the most appropriate payment option as if you are an adult you will receive at least 20% discount on adult single trip cash fares on ferries (excludes Waiheke ferry services). Regular ferry users
