The public are welcome to observe the open section of AT’s board meetings. The open agenda is published at least 2 working days before each meeting.

Speak at an open board meeting

If you would like to present to the board, you'll need to register in advance through the board secretary. Your request should clearly state the matter you wish to present to the board. It must be received at least 2 weeks before the meeting.

You can also see the members who make up the AT board before preparing your submission.

When preparing your presentation

To keep the meeting running smoothly, your presentation must:

• be limited to 5 minutes so time can be shared fairly among all speakers
• use a Microsoft PowerPoint of no more than 10 slides
• clearly explain what you are asking the board to consider or decide.

The chair may decline presentations that are disrespectful, disruptive, off-topic or inappropriate.

Meeting rules and etiquette

As a Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) public attendance and submissions are welcome and encouraged at open board meetings. They are an important part of how we engage with Aucklanders.

To help the meeting run smoothly, follow these protocols:

• arrive on time and sign in at the kiosk in the reception area
• avoid interrupting the meeting from the public gallery
• be aware the chair may ask anyone to leave if their behaviour disrupts the meeting.
