How to get started
Your STC can:
- deliver to your school 2 special resources (giant floor puzzle and A3 poster map)
- supply printed certificates for all students who take part
- book in a date and help you to plan and run a Wheels Day as part of Lesson 8.
The Teacher Handbook introduces the programme and includes:
- Te Mātaiaho | NZC Curriculum links and learning areas for each lesson, together with the success criteria and how these are achieved in the classroom
- all 10 lesson plans and activity sheets (with answers) from start to finish
- an assessment rubric
- a pre- and post-programme quiz to track student progress
- a take-home flyer and optional newsletter copy to inform and engage parents and whānau.

For teachers
All lesson plans and activity sheets are included in the Teacher Handbook.
You can also download each of the lesson plans and activity sheets individually.
For students
Download the Student Workbook which has all activity sheets in one place.
Option B: Work online with Google Docs
To use the Google Docs online workbook you should:
- select USE TEMPLATE (in the top right-hand corner)
- save it to your school’s Google Drive — then share it with your students.
Your students can then complete their own workbook in class and save their work as usual.
There are three hands-on creative activities that students won’t be able to complete online:
- Activity 5.2 Design a badge or sticker.
- Activity 6.2 Make a clean, green community.
- Activity 9.1 Make a booklet and share your knowledge.
