Overview

In October 2025, we proposed installing 2 new speed bumps on Allendale Road:

  • one outside 21 and 22
  • one outside 36 and 47.

The proposal aims to keep Allendale Road safe by reducing cut‑through traffic and supporting safer speeds on this local residential street.

Public engagement was carried out from 24 October to 10 November 2025 through mailed letters to residents and property owners along Allendale Road and surrounding streets, as well as via the project webpage and online survey.

Engagement outcome

We thank the community in the project area for their feedback.

After carefully reviewing the feedback we received, we are proceeding as proposed.

This project is supported by the Albert-Eden Local Board and is delivered by Auckland Transport on their behalf funded through the Local Board Transport Capital Fund.
