DrivingOverview
Residents are worried about visibility around the bend when vehicles are parked on both sides of the road.
Site observations found that parked vehicles and roadside vegetation can make it hard for drivers to see oncoming traffic. This causes drivers to move closer to or across the centre line, raising the risk of collisions.
To address this, by December 2026, we plan to:
- paint broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) on the inside of the bend outside 88 Celtic Crescent
- improve access and reallocate road space by removing 4 on‑street parking spaces.
These changes will:
- make it easier for drivers and pedestrians to see oncoming traffic around the bend
- make the road wide enough for 2 vehicles travelling in opposite directions to pass safely
- support safer traffic flow through this section of road.
