DrivingOverview
We have heard concerns from the community about visibility at this intersection.
Through investigation we found that the lack of parking restrictions allows vehicles to park too close to the intersection. This makes it harder for drivers exiting Spring Street to see approaching traffic on Church Street. In some cases, drivers may need to move beyond the stop line to gain a clearer view, increasing safety risks.
To address this, by January 2027, we plan to:
- install broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) and associated road markings at the intersection
- remove approximately 5 on‑street parking spaces.
These changes will improve visibility and make it easier for drivers to see approaching traffic when turning, supporting safer vehicle movements at the intersection.
It will take one day to paint the road markings in good weather conditions.
