Overview

We’re working to help keep people safe and improve access on Frederick Street, Hillsborough.

We are painting broken yellow lines:

  • along both southern sides of the intersection of Hoskins Avenue and Frederick Street (the cul-de-sac end)
  • along one side in a staggered way and around the cul-de-sac head.

Frederick Street is narrow and can be easily blocked. Especially by larger vehicles like emergency services and rubbish trucks, or when cars park opposite each other. The broken yellow lines will allow parking on one side of the road while keeping the traffic lane clear.

These changes will help people park at the Frederick Street cul-de-sac end without blocking access.

Work is scheduled for October to November 2026 and will take one day to complete in good weather.
