DrivingOverview
The local school has raised concerns about parked vehicles making it harder to see at driveways, intersections and crossing points. This especially affects students travelling to and from school.
Following a site visit, we’re proposing changes to parking controls. This includes new ‘no stopping at certain times’ restrictions and road markings.
What we’re proposing
Between 11 and 17 Galloway Crescent, the existing restriction (no stopping 8am to 4pm, except on school holidays) will change to no stopping:
- from 8am to 9:30am
- from 2:30pm to 4pm
- except on school holidays.
We’ll also install:
- a new ‘no stopping at certain times’ restriction from 1 to 11 Galloway Crescent (same times)
- broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) and a stop sign at the Galloway Crescent and Prince Regent Drive intersection (on the corner outside 1 Galloway Crescent).
The stop sign means vehicles on Galloway Crescent must stop before entering the intersection. This will improve visibility and safety for all road users.
