Lonsdale Street accessibility improvements

In June 2026, we informed you of our proposal to improve access on Lonsdale Street by installing broken yellow lines outside 6 and 10 Lonsdale Street.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide feedback.

After reviewing the feedback and doing extra site observations, we've updated the design to better address community concerns.

What’s changed

• We'll now add broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) outside 1/3 Lonsdale Street.

We now plan to:

• Install broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) outside 6 and 10 Lonsdale Street.
• Install broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) outside 1/3 Lonsdale Street.
• Improve access and reallocate road space by removing 3 on‑street parking spaces. 

These changes will improve safety and vehicle access by preventing parking in a narrow section of road, reducing the need for drivers to move into the opposite lane and improving traffic flow.

We plan to make these changes by October 2026.
