Walking, driving and cyclingOverview
We are planning to make changes at the Nelson Street and Union Street intersection.
This is a busy intersection for everyone. These changes are designed to make it safer and easier for people to cross the road and move through the intersection, especially for people who walk, wheel, use mobility aids, or push prams.
Improvements we're making
Changes include:
- adding a new pedestrian crossing
- upgrading the Union Street slip lane crossing
- upgrading footpaths with pram crossings and tactile pavers
- adding high-friction surfacing.
