Purewa Road parking improvements

We recently asked for your feedback on our proposal to improve parking availability on Purewa Road, Meadowbank.

Public engagement happened between 21 May and 10 June 2026. We mailed letters to residents and property owners along Purewa Road and surrounding streets, and hand-delivered letters to affected properties. Engagement also happened via the project webpage and an online survey.

We received 27 submissions in total:

• 24 through the online survey
• 3 via email.

Engagement outcome

We thank the community for their feedback. After reviewing the feedback, we have made the following changes to better reflect community input:

Outside 3 Purewa Road

Install P120 (2 hour) time restrictions on four parking spaces, from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. This will provide short-term parking for contractors and visitors in the area.

Opposite 9 Purewa Road

Install P4 hours (240 minutes) time restrictions on three parking spaces, from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

This will provide medium-term parking to better support commuters.

What happens next

We anticipate these changes will be installed by December 2026.
