Project details

Start date

20 May 2026

End date

10 June 2026

Location

Purewa Road, Meadowbank

Transport involved

Driving, bus and train

Overview

We’re proposing to introduce time restrictions on some angled parking spaces on Purewa Road to better manage parking demand for:

  • residents
  • commuters
  • people visiting the Ōrākei Basin and Meadowbank train station.

Time‑limited parking encourages turnover and makes spaces available to more people throughout the day.

What we’re proposing

Outside 3 Purewa Road

We’ll introduce P120 (2‑hour) time restrictions on 9 parking spaces from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday. This will support short‑term parking for leisure and recreation.

Outside these hours, parking will be unrestricted.

Opposite 9 Purewa Road

We’ll introduce P240 (4‑hour) time restrictions on 3 parking spaces from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday. This will support medium‑term commuter parking.

Outside these hours, parking will be unrestricted.

More information

These proposals are separate from temporary parking and bus stop changes near Meadowbank Train Station during construction. They aim to address ongoing parking demand in the area.
