DrivingOverview
We've heard concerns from residents about vehicles parking on both sides of Reding Street and near the Te Kahu Place intersection.
This can reduce visibility for drivers exiting Te Kahu Place and limit access for larger vehicles, including rubbish trucks and emergency vehicles.
To fix this, by December 2026, we plan to:
- install broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) on the western side of Reding Street, between the driveways of 2 and 6 Reding Street, and outside 8 Reding Street
- install broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) on the corners of the Reding Street and Te Kahu Place intersection.
These changes will:
- prevent vehicles from parking opposite each other on this narrow road
- improve access for larger vehicles.
