Sapwood Crescent access improvements

Sapwood Crescent is a narrow road.  We've had requests from the community and Auckland Council Waste Solutions about large trucks having difficulty travelling through it.

We found that parked vehicles opposite the chicane can make it hard for rubbish collection trucks and other large vehicles, including emergency service vehicles, to travel safely through this part of the road.

To address this, by January 2027, we plan to: 

• paint broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) at 2 locations outside 45 and 47 Sapwood Crescent
• remove 4 on-street parking spaces. 

These changes will improve access for large vehicles.

It will take one day to paint the road markings in good weather conditions.
