Overview

We've had requests from residents worried about access issues from vehicles being parked on both sides of this narrow road.

When vehicles park on both sides, it can make it difficult for residents to access their properties and for emergency service vehicles, rubbish trucks, and other service vehicles to get through safely.

What we plan to do

To address this, between November and December 2026, we plan to install broken yellow lines (no stopping at all times) on the eastern side of Vercoe Street, between 2A and 6A Vercoe Street.

It will take one day to paint the road markings in good weather conditions.

These changes will:

  • help prevent vehicles from parking opposite each other
  • make it easier for residents to access their properties
  • help larger vehicles, like rubbish trucks and emergency services, to drive along the street.
