  • St Jude Street
  • Chalmers Street
  • St Georges Road
  • Portage Road
  • Glenview Road

Our focus for this area is about balancing local accessibility, town-centre redevelopment potential and the needs of freight and traffic.

Henderson Station to Swanson

Understanding the needs for the area

This section covers parts of Henderson, Ranui and Swanson. These areas are more suburban and semi-rural in character but are also planned to grow, especially around stations.

Six crossings sit within this area:

  • Mt Lebanon Lane
  • Sturges Road Station (pedestrian)
  • Ranui Station (pedestrian)
  • Metcalfe Road
  • O’Neills Road (pedestrian)
  • Christian Road.

While overall train volumes will take longer to build up here, planning and route protection still need to happen early so that new development doesn’t block future solutions.
