Project overview
As more people move into the area, the key route of Don Buck Road will need to be widened to accommodate walking, cycling and public transport.
The proposed works includes:
-
widening Don Buck Road to an upgraded urban arterial with bus priority lanes and separated walking and cycling facilities on both sides of the corridor
-
upgrading the intersections with Fred Taylor Drive, Westgate Drive, Kapia Road, Rush Creek Drive and Beauchamp Road
-
making tie-ins with existing roads, stormwater pond and culverts
-
widening the corridor with batter slopes and associated cut and fill activities
-
removing vegetation along the existing road corridor
-
other construction related activities required outside the permanent corridor including the re-grade of driveways, construction traffic manoeuvring and construction laydown areas.
