Project overview
Providing an urban arterial, connecting the growth areas of Drury West and East to the wider transport network, including enabling the provision of a future frequent transport bus network.
This project will provide greater connectivity, safety, and greater transport choice and access to economic and social opportunities in the Drury area.
This project includes:

An upgrade to a four-lane urban arterial with separated active transport facilities from Jesmond Road to Norrie Road which includes upgrading existing and constructing new transport corridors.

Widening of the existing Jesmond Road from State Highway 22 to the four-lane urban arterial, with separated active transport facilities.

Widening of Waihoehoe Road from the Norrie Road/ Great South Road intersection to Fitzgerald Road to a four-lane urban arterial with separated active transport facilities.

This project is confirmed and operative in the Auckland Unitary Plan. The designation number that can be used to identify this project is: 1840.
There is currently no funding for detailed design or construction of this project. We anticipate the project will be delivered sometime within the next 15 years in line with Auckland Council's land release strategy.
