We drive, you get time back

Take a bus, train or ferry today and take back some me-time. When you're not the one driving your time is free to do your thing. Start a new hobby (or rediscover an old one), learn something new or simply watch the world go by. We're also organising some pop-up events to give you inspiration.

Spot the passenger and be in to win

Spot some faces riding through Te Waihorotiu and answer their trivia questions. You'll go in the draw to win an epic prize, such as:

  • an iPhone 18 Pro
  • Nintendo Switch 2
  • a pair of Bose headphones
  • 1 of 10 $50 Whitcoulls vouchers
  • 1 of 10 $50 AT HOP credits.

How to play

  1. Watch the train windows for a passenger to pop up.
  2. Click or tap them to get their trivia question.
  3. Get it right to enter the draw.

There are 5 characters to catch and each character has a separate prize draw.

More reasons to let us do the driving

Discover our 13,000 daily bus, train and ferry services. There's lots of routes across the city, more frequent services and bus lanes on lots of main roads.

Plus, with contactless payments you can simply turn up and pay using a debit or credit card, smartphone or smart device. If you choose to, you can buy an AT HOP card and take advantage of our $50 7-day fare cap and travel discounts and track it all in the AT Mobile app.

Once you're on-board, kick back, relax and let us take the wheel.
More ways to pay

Tag on and off buses, trains and most ferries with your AT HOP card, or go contactless with a debit or credit card, smartphone or smart device.
AT HOP card

An AT HOP card is your pre-paid ticket to ride. A registered card gives you access to concessions and discounts — and manage it all in a MyAT account.

Pop-up events

We’ll be popping up across the network to inspire more Aucklanders to make the most of their travel time on public transport. Look out for our Auckland Transport (AT) cart, where you can spin the wheel for the chance to win some awesome prizes. Check back soon to find out where we’ll be popping up next.
