Parking discounts for tradespeople

If you are a tradesperson working on a job site in central Auckland, park in Victoria Street or Civic car park and save.

You can get 50% off the standard hourly rate.

We offer special rates and flat fees at Victoria Street and Civic car parks.

Sign-up to the Tradespeople Deal

Complete the form at least 2 working days before you want to use the deal. 

You’ll be asked for:

• your name
• the business you work for
• your work email address
• vehicle license plate number

Once we accept and process your request, you'll receive a confirmation email to let you know the offer is active and ready to use.

The email confirms the offer, but it does not reserve you a parking space.

Only for tradespeople while carrying out their work

This offer is available to anyone working as a tradesperson.

For example, people working in construction, building and carpentry, plumbing, electrical, telecommunications, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and mechanical trades.

On the day of parking, you must be accessing a job site to carry out work as a tradesperson.

We may run checks to make sure you meet the criteria to use the offer.

Victoria Street car park hours and location

Discounted daily and weekend parking rates

The discounted daily hourly rates are:

• 1 hour - $3.00
• 2 hours - $6.00
• 3 hours - $9.00
• 4 or more hours - $10

The discounted evening, weekend and public holiday hourly rates:

• 1 hour: $1.50
• 2 hours: $3.00
• 3 hours: $4.50
• 4 hours: $6.00
• 5 hours: $7.50
• 6 hours: $9.00
• 7 or more hours: $10

The maximum $10 per day is until the car park closes. If your vehicle remains in the car park overnight, you will automatically be charged for your stay during the next day as well.

Civic car park hours, location and discounted rates

Discounted daily and weekend parking rates

The discounted daily hourly rates are:

• 1 hour - $3.00
• 2 hours - $6.00
• 3 hours - $9.00
• 4 or more hours - $10

Weeknight (6pm to close) - $10

Please note that if your stay extends from daytime past 6pm you will pay discounted hourly rates plus the evening $10 flat fee.

• 3 hours: $4.50
• 4 hours: $6.00
• 5 hours: $7.50
• 6 hours: $9.00
• 7 or more hours: $10

If your vehicle remains in the car park overnight, you will automatically be charged for your stay during the next day as well.

Parking spaces

You can park in any of the available casual parking spaces. Ensure the space does not display a 'Reserved' or 'P30 Loading and Services Vehicles only' sign.

Parking is on a first come, first served basis. Although a parking space is not guaranteed, there will usually be spaces available in the car park. If the car park is at full capacity, you will need to arrange other parking.

Pay at the car park pay machines

You can only access the discounted rate by using the pay machines in the car park. You cannot use the AT Park app.

Enter your license plate number at one of the car park payment machines.

If your email request for the offer has been processed, the discounted rate will display.

Follow the instructions to complete payment.

Parking for loading, servicing and drop-off at Victoria Street and Civic car parks

Goods, service, and delivery drivers can get free P30 parking in Victoria Street and Civic car parks.

There are dedicated parking spaces you can use.

These parks can also be used by courier and food delivery drivers, and business owners who need to deliver goods to their stores in the city.

They are ideal for quick pick-ups or drop-offs within the city centre.

Exit the building within 30 minutes and the barrier arms will automatically let you out.

If you need to park for longer than 30 minutes, use the casual parking spaces and pay the standard rates.

Pay for parking at the machines in the car park or using the AT Park app.

Dedicated parking spaces

These reserved spaces are available on a first come first served basis and are not guaranteed.

If there are no reserved spaces available, please use casual parking spaces.

Victoria Street car park

You'll find these P30 parks:

Ground floor:

• 7 spaces on the right hand-side of the exit barriers
• 4 spaces next to the glass doors.

Level 6 (entry level):

• spaces numbered 5, 6, and 7.

Look for the ‘P30 Loading & Servicing Vehicles only’ signs.

Civic car park

Enter from Greys Avenue or Mayoral Drive.

You will find 2 pick-up and drop-off areas on level 1.

Look for the yellow marked spaces numbered:

• 1004 to 1008
• 1227 to 1239.

Vehicle access

Maximum vehicle height on both entry and exit: 2m high and 2.57m wide.

Pedestrian access

There are 2 pedestrian access doors on the ground floor (High Street level) that you must exit through.

Both doors are 2100mm high by 850mm wide.

If you have large delivery items or goods, check if they will fit through these access doors.

Civic car park

Vehicle access

Maximum vehicle height on both entry and exit is 2m high and 2.50m wide.

Pedestrian access

There are several pedestrian access doors.

The doors are 1900mm high and 1450mm wide.

If you have large delivery items or goods, check if they will fit through these access doors.
