The new train lines

Network and timetable changes for the CRL

Find out about the changes to the train line network now that the CRL has started running.

South City train line

The Southern Line has become the South City Line (S-C). It links Pukekohe and the city centre, passing through the CRL loop.

East West train line

The Eastern Line and Western Line has become the East West Line (E-W). It links Swanson and Manukau via the CRL loop.

Onehunga West train line

The Onehunga Line has become the Onehunga West Line (O-W). It runs between Onehunga and Henderson off-peak, and Onehunga and Maungawhau during peak hours.

The City Rail Link Stations

Now updated with station maps, access information, and platform details to help you get ready for day one on our new network.

Karanga-a-Hape Station

This station was built as part of the City Rail Link. From here you have access to Karangahape Road’s shopping, hospitality and entertainment.

Te Waihorotiu Station

Te Waihorotiu Station is a new station built as part of the City Rail Link. It’s expected to become the country’s busiest train station.

Maungawhau Station

As part of the City Rail Link, Maungawhau Station serves the Uptown neighbourhood. It is an interchange between the East West line and Onehunga West line.

Waitematā Station

Until the City Rail Link opened, Waitematā was the city centre's only train station. It's convenient for connecting to bus and ferry services from downtown.
