Overview

We’re building a 270m footpath along Hunua Road to connect the southern part of Hunua Village to Cowan Road. This project will make walking safer and easier for residents and visitors, where no footpath currently exists. We are in the design phase now, with construction planned for early 2026. The footpath is funded through the Franklin Targeted Rate, which supports better walking and cycling connections across Franklin.
