There are frequent train services from across Auckland to Te Waihorotiu Station, which is just a 5-minute walk from Aotea Square.

Both the South City and East West Lines stop at Te Waihorotiu. If you are travelling using the Onehunga Line, you will need to transfer at either Newmarket or Maungawhau.

During this event, there will be significant crowding between Te Waihorotiu Station and Aotea Square. We recommend exiting the station, and walking the route below through Wellesley Street West and Queen Street to get to Aotea Square.

The Downtown Ferry Terminal is close to Waitematā Station, which is 15-minute walk from Aotea Square. Alternatively, customers can take a train from Waitematā to Te Waihorotiu Station for easier access to Aotea Sqaure.
